AERIAL CAMERAWORK
My passion for aerial camerawork was sparked by the 1980's Channel 4 television series, Treasure Hunt. Each week two contestants solved a series of cryptic clues and guided skyrunner Anneka Rice around a course in a helicopter.
Treasure Hunt was a technical marvel at the time, overcoming the huge challenges of audio, airbourne communications and the limitations of early, portable electronic video recording.
The series was my inspiration for combining my love of helicopters and camerawork and remains my favouite television programme.
Since becoming involved with aerial filming in the mid-nineties, I've had several, fantastic opportunities to fly and film with the pilot of Castle Air Charters Capt Keith Thompson, who flew the Treasure Hunt helicopter.
